This morning we eat a beautiful juicy peach and I've been thinking about peach pie ever since. I'm currently planning a pie-making day. It takes time to make a good pie and if you don't believe me, this episode of Good Eats confirms it.
Question: Does anyone have a grandmother, aunt or relative of any sort who has a pie bird? Have you ever heard of pie bird?

I've been looking for them a little on the web. Amazon has them. I'm sure you can also Google (or whatever your favorite search engine is) "pie birds" or "pie vents" and find them for sale.
I'm also looking for a 2" tart pan. So far, we've found it only at Williams Sonoma.

I found one on ebay. Of course! It's a cute little cardinal, but I haven't had chance to try it out.
